WED NIGHT TRAINING

A dozen Nagas braved a chilly windy winter but wonderful Wednesday night – with no other clubs present – and attacked the water with warm enthusiasm for a base fitness paddling session! Only one ferry stood in their way (during warm up!) and it appeared not to be able to decide whether to back into its parking space or drive in – Rozelle Bay and Blackwattle Bay seemed to be Naga Spirit’s exclusive playground tonight. We had a contingent of Nagas recently run, walk and take pics for the Real Insurance Sydney Harbour Run 5km and 10km, followed by a nice feed at nearby Pancakes on the Rocks. It was such a nice but cool sunny winter’s day!

One of our paddlers, Renee, representing the Australian Squad (Auroras) Under 24’s will be off to France in July to compete against other international teams for the World Championships. Naga Spirit Dragon Boat Club was in attendance at the Tropical Themed Auroras U24s Fundraising Night which had dancing and performances, games, prizes and a buffet island dinner. We wish Renee and the U24’s the best of luck for their campaign!

WINTER IS HERE!

nope, not us.. we don’t do ice

Do not worry though – we still train throughout winter, and it will not ice up in Blackwattle or Rozelle Bays. If you want to be active and get fit even during the cold season, why not try paddling with us?
